The Loose Ring allows for immediate release and relief from tongue and bar pressure. The bit is immediately reset to a neutral position in the horse's mouth.
The Ported Barrel was created to relieve pressure on the tongue via the the medium port, which creates space for the tongue. The Barrel joint relieves pressure on the bars by spreading it over a larger area and limiting the nut cracker action of a conventional snaffle.

HBE suggest, best suited for: Horse that travels behind the vertical and may also demonstrate signs of tongue pressure (see below image for examples). Great for turning as has independent side movement

Love this bit on my OTTB Keeps him nice and steady in the contact and really keeps him supple

I didn’t know what my horse needed but I knew he wasn’t happy with his current bit after trying to avoid the contact and throwing his head around. I asked for Some advice from horse bit emporium and they reccomded this. Very first ride in this bit my horse was so happy, he took a perfect contact and is now so much more relaxed to ride. Couldn’t be happier with this bit and the great advice!

This bit is fantastic with horses that struggle to maintain an even contact. I have found it particularly good with horses that are either downhill or heavy in the hand, it really encourages them to travel in a more uphill and much lighter and softer way of going. I have also found it really useful with horses that have a tendency to open their mouth whilst working, I think the structure, specifically the ported shape of the bit allows more room for their tongue to sit comfortable which often makes the horse much happier in the mouth. The roller also helps by encouraging them to salivate, and relax their tongue rather than blocking or opening their mouth.

An amazing bit! My boy has gone from inconsistent connection to consistent connection as well as not travelling as downhill as previously. Absolutely love this bit from the first ride I noticed a massive difference
