Great for: horses who travel behind vertical, prefer stable bits, attempt to evade Tongue pressure.

The Loose Ring allows for immediate release and relief from tongue and bar pressure. The bit is immediately reset to a neutral position in the horse's mouth.

The Lock Up snaffle removes the nut cracker action of the conventional snaffle, meaning it will bear less pressure on the horse's bars. The Lock Up is therefore a softer option, than a conventional snaffle, although it still applies tongue and bar pressure when the reins are taken up.

I was competing at the Australian Show Jumping Chamionships last week when my lovely horse decided the Myler combination was no longer a good jumping bit for him and was out of control! I had packed his work bridle which had his new ultra comfy lock up on, thinking that it probably wasn't going to be the best to jump him in as he would be throwing his head around like a mad man like he does with nearly anything in his mouth when jumping, but would hopefully be better than not being able to stop at all!! Turns out it was absolutely fantastic, not only having so much control, but looking back at the videos, he seemed a lot more comfortable in it than the combination bit of late. Sorry for the long winded story, just wanted to say an extra thanks for your advice.

Iv been using this bit on my 2* eventing mare for a few weeks now and had a instant response, she is much happier without the nut cracker affect, I get immidiate haft halt effect with instant relief and softening!
